The lease you will be signing, should you decide to rent the Guest House, is a very important document, and is legal and binding. Please understand that all of the people who will be staying at the guest house, and any and all visitors to the property, or the guest house, even for a short period of time, must be clearly recorded on the lease and have been discussed with the owner previously. Pets are not allowed, and smoking is not allowed inside the guest house. Having people on the property who are not named on the lease is considered a violation. If the terms of the lease are violated, please understand that you may be dismissed without a refund.

We limit the number of guests we rent to in order to preserve the privacy, peace and tranquillity of the setting. As you know, our own vacation home is through the woods on the property, and peace is a major priority. We have carefully furnished the Guest House with fine quality antiques, furniture, and appliances. The house is beautiful and well maintained. Also, the house is serviced by a private well and septic system. As you may know, these systems are very delicate. By limiting the number of guests, we assure that all of these investments will be protected. If you intend to have visitors and add on guests during your vacation, please find different accommodations that would be more suitable. We provide a beautiful and very comfortable property, and are very serious about maintaining the integrity of the Guest House, our property, and our lease. Although we are not always in Maine ourselves, our caretaker is a very dedicated friend. Please consider the fact that the lease not only protects us, but will assure you, our valued guests, of many years of relaxing vacations with beautiful, quality accommodations and surroundings.
